Hey, coders. As much as it would be nice to get out of the house and see you all in-person, we’re taking care of ourselves and our community by not having an in-person event this month. But that doesn’t mean we can’t keep our skills sharp and learn something new!
Join me on YouTube Friday at 6pm for the premiere of the first in a series of Node.js tutorials. The video will take you through the first few exercises of Learn You Node, an open-source self-directed Node.js workshop. I’ll be hanging out in the chat to answer your questions and help you through the exercises if you get stuck. The video is about an hour long, and I plan to be around in chat until about 9pm to help out.
It’s my first time trying a premiere on YouTube, so there may be some hiccups or the format may not be ideal. I’d love you to join me for this experiment and help me iron out the kinks. I hope we’ll be back together soon, but it will be nice to have something in place in the event we can’t meet in-person for a while.

Before Friday, you may want to go ahead and get Node.js installed on your system. The process is pretty straightforward, and I don’t spend much time on it at all in the video. To do that, go here: https://nodejs.org/en/
Look forward to seeing you in the chat on Friday!
