As technology changes and more media outlets compete for customers’ time, providing an enjoyable experience is critical to both attracting and keeping users. This class aims to demystify UX by giving a practical and simple introduction to what UX is while also explaining some of its core concepts of usability. This is a field that affects all areas of business — prepare to dip your toes into an ocean of new concepts and ideas that will enlighten your perspective on the human-computer interaction experience.

Dive into the what and how and why of UX design
Learn the various steps in the design process including user research and prototyping
Collaborate with classmates in a real design sprint
Practice UX tools like persona creation and card sorting
Sketch and design a mobile app prototype
You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack.
Course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course launches.
