As technology changes and more media outlets compete for customers’ time, providing an enjoyable experience is critical to attracting and retaining customers and for businesses and organizations to be successful. This class aims to demystify UX by giving a practical and simple introduction to what UX is while also explaining some of its core concepts of usability. This is a field that affects all areas of business, government, education and non-profit organizations, and is one of the fastest growing professions in the tech industry.

General Assembly’s classes, workshops and events are recreational and for avocational purposes only. No certificate is awarded.

•Practice the design thinking methods and strategies that lead to successful products.
•Understand the UX process and how it fits into your team’s workflow.
•Learn how to use the ‘Design Studio’ method to drive innovation.
•Gain knowledge of the terminology of UX Design along with useful tips and resources (i.e. How to become a UX Designer).
•Hands-on exercises including: user research, personas, user flows, prototyping, and user testing.
•Practice your collaboration, brainstorming, and sketching skills.
•Leave the bootcamp with a digital prototype!

You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack.
Course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course launches.
Please also bring a cell phone.
