Novice Coding Exercise:
PyATL “Podium” project
What’s a Jam Session?
Jam Session meetings are intended to be hands-on, collaborative experiences with your fellow PyATL members. We’ll be meeting from 7pm to 10pm to work together on whatever projects you feel like. Bring your own hobby projects, bring a work project, bring your new startup idea – whatever you like. Or, if you don’t have a project of your own, come along and see what projects others are working on and sit down with them to help them out! Programmers of all experience levels are welcome! JR Rickerson will be there a bit early to help introduce people, organize, and make sure everyone is comfortable.
We recommend bringing a laptop with Python installed so you can join in the fun!
Each month we’ll provide a coding puzzle or exercise that is designed to be accessible to novices to Python, but that also provide additional challenges for more advanced users. Our exercises generally follow the format of a Code Kata ( http://codekata.com/ )
For intermediate users, we’ll also be working on a small group open source project, so you have the opportunity to learn on a “real world” project as well.
