The Public Sector Virtual Summit experience will go-live on June 30th, at 9:00 AM EST, with a key-note led by Teressa Carlson, Vice President of World Wide Public Sector, followed virtual breakout sessions led by AWS subject matter experts. Registrants can build a session schedule based on topics and interests, and participate in virtual booths and zones. This year we are offering two developer tracks, Technical-Foundations and Technical-Innovation, which will cover AI/ML, data analytics, databases, FedRAMP, security, migration, hybrid cloud, serverless, DevOps, CI/CD, and cost optimization.

Builder Zone, Startup Loft, and DeepRacer
The Public Sector Virtual Summit will feature two areas dedicated to developers, the Builder Zone and Startup Loft. Both of these areas will have multiple activities, including hands-on labs, demo solutions, technical talks, and developer community resources. Additionally, attendees can participate in a virtual DeepRacer competition and register for our annual Hackathon for Good, that will kick-off on June 30th.

Builder Zone
1. Hands-on labs: Get hands-on with AWS technical experts while learning about AWS solutions including ECS, EKS, Lambda, SageMaker, and many more.
2. Builder Fair: Explore some of the AWS Builder Fair projects featured at re:Invent 2019. Builder Fair projects display how AWS solutions can be used to solve real-world problems, like creating multi-language chat bots for support teams and using AWS DeepLens to automate recycling.
3. Solution demos: Presented by AWS technical experts, Solution demos will cover some of the most exciting AWS solutions including, AWS DeepLense, SageMaker, Amazon Lex, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS IoT, and how these solutions are enabling innovation.
4. Community zone: Want to meet the developers behind local AWS User Groups, learn how to get involved, or start your own? Stop by the Community zone to talk with AWS user group leaders, Community Heroes, and developers building on AWS.
5. Hackathon for Good: This year, our annual Hackathon for Good will kick-off on June 30th, participants can learn more about our challenges, prizes, and schedule in the Community zone.
Startup Loft
1. Explore startup programs: Learn how AWS supports startups through AWS Activate, a program designed to provide startups with the resources they need to build applications on AWS. And, AWS EdStart, the Amazon Web Services EdTech startup accelerator.
2. Startup talks: Explore how startups are using AWS solutions to gain traction, innovate, build, and scale their products. Startup talks are led by the engineers and founders who are using AWS every day.
DeepRacer
DeepRacer will be returning to this year’s Public Sector Summit, offering a virtual racing experience. Developers will be able to complete the DeepRacer workshop, then test their models in a virtual simulation, and compete against other participants as part of the official DeepRacer League. Participants compete for the chance to win a trip to re:Invent 2020 to compete in the championship.
